Look what God has done!

My calendar contains lots of notes that help me celebrate milestones and remember the goodness of God. This week, I was reminded that October 28, 2010, was a memorable day. I was living with my mother in Brownsburg and asking God to build a team of prayer and financial partners so I might move to Orlando and serve with Wycliffe Bible Translators. I'd left employment at Faith Church, so my time was devoted to sharing the story of how God led me and the vision of Wycliffe.

October 28 was the day I could say...

The minimum amount I am required to raise for my ministry has been pledged. I am approved to begin my assignment in Orlando on November 29. I am so thankful for the clear hand of God and the gracious generosity and prayers of God’s people who have partnered together to make this all possible. (Nov 5, 2010 update)

That was an amazing time of seeing God work and provide! I was encouraged as I re-read my November 5 update. The number of languages without any Bible translation even in progress then was around 2,000. As of October 2026, that number is only 512, praise the Lord!

Through your prayers and gifts for my Wycliffe ministry, together we can imagine a day when there is Scripture for every heart, everywhere.

Recent Highlights -- Answers to Prayer:
  • The fiscal year transition went very smoothly. Thank you for praying!
  • The Lord has provided through you financially, all along my Wycliffe journey.
  • The Jr High class continues to be eager to learn more of God's Word.

Looking Ahead -- Items for Prayer:
  • We became aware of a major obstacle in the software we've been testing. Pray for great clarity for the developer (he "inherited" the project mid-stream).
  • Pray for my colleagues who are carrying the largest load in the software testing process.
  • Pray for a renewing vacation in November. I'll be visiting friends in Florida.

How may I pray with you? I am so thankful for your prayers on my behalf.
